Good news... and bad news.

Yes... this is a repeat of myspace blog... so if you are here to just see my hair... skip to the bottom! LOL! Thanks for visiting!

So... I will start with the bad news.... I had my first really stinky night at Weight Watcher's tonight. I gained. You know, when it is someone else, it is easy to dismiss... 'aww... bad weeks happen... you will do better next week'. But , when it happens to you... it isn't easy to dismiss, or make right in your own mind. The first thing that I thought, 'Man... I could really use some chocolate!'. The second thing I thought, 'I am never going to lose this weight!' The third thing that I thought... 'I don't want to go home.' Facing the fact that I didn't lose weight was unbearable.
Why do we do that to ourselves? Why, because one thing goes wrong in one day(ie: one weigh in out of 8!), I started beating myself up over something that could be easily explained with... I ate before I went (learned my lesson), I have been having problems with my stomach (aka, by problem with not getting enough fiber), I have been drinking more pop, which has sodium, which causes water retention. Anyway... my point is... just because the scale screams, "YOU GAINED WEIGHT", I just need to scream back... "THAT IS OK.... I WILL LOSE TWICE THAT NEXT WEEK!!!" We need to not be so hard on ourselves. We need to remember that tomorrow is a new day, that next week, there will be a new weigh in, and yes... there will be weeks when the scale may not say exactly what I want it to say. That is ok... I am still down 19 lbs! That is a HUGE accomplishment, and I will do better next week.

Well... this is just me putting it out in the universe, and in this case.. the universe is myspace and my blog. Luckily... not everyone reads this. Oh well! LOL! It feels better just getting it off my chest. So... next week, whether I have a gain or loss... I am going to remember that this is a long journey that I am not, and there will be bumps in the road. Some days, you will hit those bumps and some days... all the lights will be green... you just have to remember to not beat yourself up, either way.

Finally... The good news... got a hair cut! FINALLY!!!! YEAH! So... here is the big reveal:
