My new hobby(at least, this is what I want to do for a hobby)

So, last summer I dabbled in learning how to sew. I learned the basics and really enjoyed doing it. It was a lot of fun, and I did a pretty good job on the outfit that mom and I worked on together. I really liked it a lot.

Well… I bought some material a few weeks ago for my friend’s bridal shower(we used it for a table cover), not really sure what we were going to do with it. Anyway… this past weekend, I was at a ladies retreat(blog post coming soon…) and while I was there I was introduced to a fellow blogger that is good friend’s with my cousin Michelle, who lives out in Springfield, MO. Her name is, also, Michelle and her blog(check it out…) is about how to coupon clip and save money. She has been blogging for quite some time, and does it so well that she is able to be a stay at home mom to her little girl. I know I am getting off track… but there is a point to all of this and it does tie into me getting back into sewing! Anyway, she had a table at the retreat selling these absolutely fabulous dresses that she makes for her little girl. I had heard of them before, but never saw one.

They are Pillowcase Dresses. If you have never heard of them before… they are adorable. I am going to take a picture of Grace in the one that I bought from Michelle, but until then… her is the picture of the one that mom and I made ourselves!

This is material that I bought last year to make Grace a dress, and when I saw the pillowcase dresses… I fell in love! They are adorable, and look so cute on. I hope to get a picture of Grace in this tomorrow and I will post it so you can see how cute she looks!

Yay! I can't wait to see Gracie in it! I've always wanted to learn to sew too, but haven't yet.
