Not Me! Monday....

Well, I most certainly have not gone another week without Blogging... no, Not me!

I also did not cry so hard that my head hurt last Tuesday night after the election results we read! Nope, not me! I certainly do NOT care that much! Nope, not me.

Oh yeah... and I most certainly did not go to bed last night with a HUGE mess in my kitchen after a wonderful day with my family at our early Thanksgiving dinner. And, I most certainly... did not just shrug my shoulders when Doug said... "oh, that is nice... Chocolate and caramel ground into the carpet" and still... did not go to bed without cleaning it up. Of course not!

Those are things that I definitely have not done! Sorry... not a long list, but that is all that I am not going to tell you about!

What are you waiting for... go VOTE!

Ok, so before you acutally go vote, check out my pictures from Sunday night at the Clermont County Fairgrounds! My dad, mom, sister in law Jess, nephew Ian, and I all went to see Sarah Palin and cheer her on in the Road to Victory in OHIO tour. I had no idea what to expect. Nothing like this had ever come to Owensville, at least not to my knowledge! I was so nervous, I was just shaking with excitement. Sarah Palin is an amazing person, and I just like everything about her. I had my camera in tow and planned on taking some pics, or course hoping that I would get a good spot to stand. Well... Here is what we found when we arrived.

The lines were crazy! We arrived around 5:45 and had no idea the lines would be so long! The fact of the matter is, they estimated around 6000 people to fill the stadium/grandstand area. What a blessing to see so many supporters! It was surreal!

So, once we got into the stadium... it was like a ROCK CONCERT! It was so awesome! The crowd was standing, cheering, shaking pom poms, waving signs, and just Rocking! It was great. Finally the time arrived to greet Sarah Palin, the rock star that she is, came out and greeted us all with her friendly personality. However, we came there just expecting to hear from this "Rock Star" Sarah Palin, but instead, we were surprised with a Redneck Woman... Gretchen Wilson!(Hince the new playlist at the bottom of my blog feat. Redneck Woman!). She sang her song, and then it was on with the show. Sarah Palin was awesome! I just know she will make an awesome VP... and someday, PRESIDENT! GO PALIN! Here are a few(yeah... 5 to be exact) Collages of our night at the fairgrounds! By the way... Jess got Gretchen's autograph, and she posed for my pics!

Gracie's New Accomplishment...

Here is Gracie's newest little "trick".

Off to see Sarah Palin!

So, tonight we are going up to the Road to Victory rally in Owensville, and I can't wait! Sarah Palin is one awesome lady. If you can poke fun at yourself and the mockers, you are a tough one! :) Enjoy this Saturday night Live skit, until I am back from the rally with some pics! :)

And... you can't miss this one...

New Baby cousin....

OK, so I know I still haven't posted anything about my trip to Chicago yet, but I promise, I will. I have to share my cousin's new baby though. She is absolutely precious! Alaina Jane Rose Ervin, born October 4th, 2008. We did a photo shoot with her and her entire family. This was my first venture into photographing someone else's baby other than my own precious little rugrat(wait til you hear about our pumpkin patch adventures!). So, here are a few edits that I have done... comments are welcome. I need some constructive criticism! :)

Not Me! Monday

So, this is going to be my very first "Not ME! Monday", so we will see how I do.

Here is what I definitely have not done this week...

Since getting home from vacation, I certainly have not let the massive amount of laundry that we lugged home from our trip to Wisconsin Dells just sit in the laudry room, stepping over it continuously, and avoiding it at all costs, without even considering doing it before today. No, Not ME!

I also did not stay up last night til nearly 1 in the morning watching the past episodes of Grey's Anatomy that I missed while on vacation. And, while I was not watching Grey's Anatomy, I most certainly did not pig out on a bowl of homemade caramel popcorn that I did not make my mom make last night while I was over.

While we are on the subject... I definitely did not go to my mom and dad's yesterday with a terrible backache, fall asleep in my mom's precious recliner, and then sleep almost the 4 full hours, trying to catchup on the sleep that I have not missed over the last several days.

Oh... and, while on vacation in the Dells, I did not make my husband take us to Build-a-bear, telling him that we needed to make a bear for Gracie, when in all truth, it was probably more for me than her. Nope... not me. :) Oh... and to add to that, I most certainly did not buy the movie High School Musical 2, using the excuse that it was for Gracie, because she loves movies with music, and I was sure that she would love it. Nope, definitely not me!!!

I most assuredly have not waited over 6 days since getting back to post a blog, out of mere laziness! Nope, not Me!

So... for now, that concludes my Not Me! Monday blog, because I definitely have not laid around in my jammies til nearly 1 in the afternoon , not had a shower, and well... let's just say, need to do laundry. Nope... Not me!

September 11th, 2001, 8:46 a.m. ... Let's not forget.

Woke up this morning, not really thinking about much other than what I need to pack, and how much I need to get done today. I woke up this morning to my precious little girl, Gracie, laying her head on my stomach, jabbering away, trying to stand up in my bed, and just going about her business of waking up her mommy. I got up... went to the bathroom, then changed Grace's diaper and headed out to the family room as usual. I got Grace a bottle and sat down at my computer to see what was going on today with my friends and family. Of course... in the background, I had Curious George on, and still... it hadn't dawned on me. I opened up my browser... and this is what I saw:

It wasn't until I had turned the channel a few minutes later, did I realize what day it was. I mean... honestly, it was a good 10 minutes after I had changef the channel, did it even dawn on me. I don't really know what I am getting at, but I think that it is important that we remember. I am not trying to be weird or anything, but it just seems strange that, for nearly 45 minutes, browsing the internet, listening to the tv, and just being awake, all that I could find on my homepage was this tiny blip on the screen:

No pictures.... not much other than that tiny link on the main page.

Where were you? I was at work... I had just gone into the bathroom at my work, Trinity, and when I came out, no one was at their desks, and for a split second, I thought that maybe the Lord had returned and I was in Left Behind... now, I am saved and I know it sounded silly, but your mind works that way sometimes. Anyway.... I got to my desk and that is when I saw everyone standing in the break room and that is when I heard the news.

Let's never forget....

2975... this is the number of people that died on this day.... just 7 years ago.
2751 alone... in the World Trade Centers.

It doesn't matter when you are reading this, please take a moment to say a prayer, not only for the families that are still dealing with this painful memory and changed their lives forever, but... for our country. You know... I am not trying to be politcal, or anything like that, but we have a very important election coming up and living in a post 9-11 world, who is going to keep us safe? More importantly... who is going to keep our children safe?

Thanks for indulging me!
