I heart faces!

I have decided to play along and submit this pic of Gracie in the

weekly contest about EYES.
This is one of my favorite pictures of Gracie right now!
So... here it goes!

By the way... I found out about this website by checking in on the blog, You're Gonna Miss This.

Another friend...

Hey there... since I am going to try to make it a habit of recognizing my "friends"(I have changed it from being a follower, to a friend... because a follower sounds a little funny), I wanted to mention again my dear friend Stephanie! She is about to hit her 100th post, and would like to make some new friends as well. Hop on over to her blog and give her some "bloggy love"! :)

Chuck E. Cheese

Ok, so here are a few pics of our super fun night at Chuck E. Cheese! BTW: I am having some technical difficulties... click on the link to see the picture in it's best form... if you want. :)

We had a great time last Monday night playing games, and just celebrating my niece's 4th birthday. I think the best part for me was that Grace really seemed to come out of her shell more than usual. Up to this point, she really was very selective about who she would go to, or let hold her, but that night, she was letting nearly everyone hold her. Of course... one funny thing happened that night. While Grace seemed to have her guard down, she was "talking" to her aunt Jess, and then before she realized it, started talking to my brother, who she is usually really guarded with. Well... as soon as she realized who she was talking to, she stopped and got really serious. Basically, this has proved to us that she is just "playing" my brother.

What can I say... she is a stinker! :)

Quick Linking Lesson...(I hope this makes sense!)

So, I recently had one of my new blogging friends ask how to make a link out of just a plain sentence or a word. I really hope this makes sense, but I decided it would be easier to show how to do it in pictures.
First of all, you will want to get the Address(URL) that you will want to link to. You can find this by right clicking on a website, or particular post that you may want to link to, then click on "Properties". After clicking "properties", you should see this:

If you just highlight and right click, then copy, you will have it ready for the next step. (By the way... if you are wanting to link back to an old post of your's, be sure to just right click on the title of the post, and it will take you exactly where you are wanting to go, but if it is a picture you are wanting to link to.. just right click on that picture).
The next step is to highlight the word that you want to use as your "link word". Once you have this highlighted... you will then click on this button:
It looks like a little chain link thingy over a globe... but it is right up there in the bar. You can't miss it.

When you click on this button, you will see this box:

In the space where it says URL: just past the link that you already copied, and then click, "OK". It should turn the words a different color, and then that should have created your link.

Again... I hope this made sense... this is my first attempt at "teaching", and I am not very objective of my own directions. Good luck! :)

Not me! Monday...

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Well, as usual, here are some things, that I most certainly have not done this week... and of course, again as usual, if I had... why would I admit it here!~
So, I definitely did not re-join Weight Watcher's this past week, do really good for 3 days, and then... as soon as my mom had her surgery and got out of the hospital, did not go to her house to stay with her on Friday and... make a batch of cookies... then on Saturday... while my niece Abby was there, I definitely did not make another batch because the crew of people that came to visit my mom that evening at almost the entire batch. Nope... not me! And... or course... while making said cookies... of course I would not eat quite a bit of the cookie dough! Nope... not me!

While I am mentioning the HUGE crowd of people that we had at my mom's house on Friday night to visit the shoulder replacement patient, I surely didn't let my husband bring my precious little girl over to a house full of her cousins and one friend, knowing that she had a fever the night before, not knowing for sure if she was sick or not, only to find out that she indeed did have scarlet fever(strep throat)! I definitely would not do that!!! Nope... not me!

Next, I definitely did not... do you hear me... did not take a picture of my mom with her weird slingy thing... even though she begged me not to...

I also... while I am talking about pictures... did not beg my husband to stop on the middle of a bridge on our way to my mom's house, just so I could get this picture...

Nope, again... not me! :)

And... finally... I certainly did not go to bed, let my husband fall fast asleep, then sneak out of the bed just so that I could write this "Not ME! Monday..." post... Nope! Not me! Ok... that was me!
Have a great week... and go play along! :)
Update: I am also not TOTALLY excited... that I was #11 on Mr. Linky this week! YIPPEE!!! Whoops... I mean... that's cool. Whatever... LOL!

Day 32- February 1st

Breakfast time... and of course, then Gracie get's her bubblegum juice(a.k.a. her medicine).

Day 31- January 31st

Wow... where has this month gone? So... this is what we have been looking at for the last week... pretty huh?

And... here is my little red faced girl... she has scarlet fever (a.k.a. strep throat!).
