Giggling Gracie- 11 months old today

So far... so good.

So, today was the first full day that we had Charlie and Bosley and honestly, it went fairly well! We decided that it would be best if we took the dogs to a neutral place so that Honey could not go all teritorial on the new dogs. However... before we made that decision, Doug actually let Honey see that the "New Kids" were in the garage. You would have thought that there was a masked intruder in our home the way that she was FREAKING out!!! Thankfully... Honey did not get out into the garage, but then and there, we knew that we needed to do something other than introduce them on her home turf. So... we headed off to church and then when we got home, we set off on our adventure. Grace was asleep, so Doug decided that he would drive the Bosley and Charlie to the dog park at Miami Meadows ahead of me and Honey. That way, they would get used to being at the dog park, then I could bring Honey a little while later and they could be introduced properly. About a half hour after Doug left, I packed up Grace and Honey and we were off. Can you believe... I forgot my camera! I was kicking myself. I wanted to take pics, but of course I forgot it. Oh well... anyway, once I got there, the dogs all got acquainted and it went rather well. I decided to call my aunt Cathy, who has 4 dog's of her own, and asked her and my cousin and niece Carly, who she traded my brother for her 3 boys for the night, to join us. Cathy and the girls showed up about 10 minutes later with their 2 mini schnauzer's. They are adorable. I was really disappointed at this point, because the little dogs were very funny with our group. Cathy said that Doug looked like the Pied Piper with 4 black dogs and Honey following him around the park. It was pretty funny!

After the dog park we headed off to Cracker Barrel where we had a wonderful dinner, and then headed off to the river to enjoy the rest of the evening. After we go home we decided to go and visit our sweet neighbors, Bob and Mildred(don't they just sound adorable!), and checked out their garden. It is awesome, btw, already looks close to bringing in some great produce! Can't wait... Bob keeps me stocked up in cucumbers and zuccini! I love it!

Here are a few of my favorite pics from the evening at Cracker Barrel and the river. I love the ones with Gracie and her daddy! Awww...

Have a great evening!

We may have just lost our minds!

Happy 4th everyone! Well, we just got back from the Biven farm and had a great afternoon with family and friends. I have to get my mom's SD card, and then I will have some pics.

We did come home with a little more than we were expecting however... Tiffany and Justin (for those of you who don't know, this is Doug's cousin and her hubby) brought Bosley and Charlie, their very sweet dogs with them. Come to find out they were bringing them with them to take to a shelter tomorrow morning. They have been trying to find a good home for them for almost a year and it has come to the point that they just have to get rid of them. Anyway, Doug and I have been talking about, and even put in the paperwork, to adopt a dog from Circletail. However, the cost was $250 and we were going to wait a while, but we have wanted a friend for Honey for a while now.

Anyway... long story short, we now have Bosley and Charlie here as a trial run to see if they will be good friends for Honey(I hear you laughing Sue! LOL!!! Just kidding...). Please pray for us. This, could be, a very good thing. We hope that it will be. :) Anyway, I just couldn't bare to see them go to a shelter and possibly be separated! I know... I am crazy!

So, here are the pics of Honey's cousins... Bosley(bigger) and Charlie(smaller).

Happy 4th of July!~

Happy (early) 4th of July!

Here are some pics that we took at the park 2 weeks ago... trying to get into the patriotic spirit! :O)

Anxiety Attack...

Ok, so here is the deal, I hate the phone. I mean... I really hate the telephone. I believe that it started when I was a manager at Lane Bryant years ago, and I hated the phone because it usually was someone calling to tell me that I had to come in because someone had called in. I hated that! It was the worst. So then, it evolved into a thing where, it was just the phone in general. When I was working at Trinity, I had to deal with clients all day long, and some days, the sound of the phone was all I heard. It was very frustrating. Anyway, why am I telling you all of this, because I had to call the mother of the bride that dumped me for a "professional" wedding photographer and leave a message. I have been dreading this call, because the last time that I talked to this woman, I was upset and basically made her feel like dirt because her daughter made a huge mistake. Why would someone pay 3 to 4 times the amount for wedding pics when she had someone to do the pics, who probably has the same experience, if not more, than the next guy. I am very hurt over this. It has been weighing on my mind terribly the last few weeks. So... the reason that I was calling her was because she offered to pay me the same amount to do the wedding video, which basically, I should have called her right back and told her yes, because the video is so much easier to do than the pictures, but I just couldn't bring myself to do this. It is probably because I feel like I made an idiot out of myself the last time I talked to her, but I was so crushed. I had never had anything like that happen before and my heart felt like it was stomped on. Weddings are very personal to me... they are like my very own, I would do anything out of my way, to help the bride, or just make my self useful that day. Anyway... I am waiting on a call back. We will see what happens!
