Numb...

Why is it that on the night that you think things are going to go really well, no arguments, no disagreements, just a nice night playing games with Gracie and hanging out with Jack, things basically go to heck?!?

That was my night...

Things started out good. I made a WONDERFUL dinner(I had to... we are really trying to stick to budget and I have to stick to my points!), and I was in a great mood. Then, a simple conversation turned into World War 3!

I didn't mention it much, but December was a rough month... my husband's church does not celebrate Christmas(as I have said before, they are Sabbath keepers and basically keep the Holy Days rather than the Holidays) so tensions are always high around that time. On top of that, I believe that I was truly experiencing a small bout of post partum depression(and may still be...).

I really don't know how it came about... it was so innocent, but I truly hate fighting(which my husband does not believe), I really do hate it!

Do you ever just feel empty inside? I feel that way right now... just numb. Hopefully tomorrow will be better... whoops... it is already tomorrow. Ok... so, today... I resolve for it to be a better day.

Like my momma always says... life is too short to spend it mad.

I will be honest... my pictures aren't the greatest today, but they are real life here in our house.
This is Grace sneaking some of my popcorn out of my cup today. Ignore the mess behind the cup. LOL!

This is bedtime... Doug has been getting into this very bad(and lazy) habit of letting Grace go to bed with him, leaving me nowhere to sleep until he wakes up enough to put her in her own bed. If you can see... Jack is back in the corner in his carseat/bassinet. Yes... Jack sleeps in his car seat. I know that this is probably not the best thing to get him used to, but he will not sleep well on his back. And... if he is sleeping, life is good. :)

And finally... I did it. I went back to Weight Watchers! Today was my first day back on track, and I feel good about how I did. I also have a ton of points because I am still nursing during the day and as much as I can and Jack will take it, so I get 5 extra points. Life is good. :)

I have more to say... tonight was a bad night, but I think I am going to put it in a separate post.

Momma and her boy...(and no.. I did not take it, Doug did). Jack and Honey just a chillin' this afternoon.

Where's Gracie you may ask... at her Mammaw Trish and Pappaw Fred's for the night. And... last night she was at her other grandparents. She is making her rounds before the weekend! :) Rest assured... I was able to get some pics of her tonight before we left my mom's. Just nothing postworthy. Belated Christmas pics coming tomorrow... :)

My precious babies....

It is truly amazing... (and we have all heard this before, but...)after you have your first baby, you just truly can't imagine loving someone as much as you love that little child, and then number 2 comes along, and your heart just grows even more until you feel like your heart is going to pop outside of your body. Amazing is the only word I can use to explain it.

Gracie, being silly, as usual... and the funny part, you can see Jack's feet on the left side of this picture...LOL! He was swinging and I didn't realize that his feet were there! LOL!


This was looking out from our front door tonight... God's artwork! How majestic!

I love the next two pictures.... This is Jack in his(which used to be Gracie's) bouncy seat. The funny thing is, Grace loved it when she was a baby, and now she wants to be in his face all the time when he is in it! So cute... she loves her baby Jack!
