Wow!
The last few weeks have been so busy that I truly feel like I am meeting myself coming and going. It started back in March: We had a family wedding, gave one of my best friends a birthday party, and took my niece(really, she is my cousin, but she is so much younger, she is like my niece!) to see Taylor Swift… and that was just the beginning of the craziness!
So… here is my crazy life in a bit of a photo recap!
March:
First, we got a new mini van!!! I love this van! This is the best thing we have bought since my ipod! LOL!
It is a 2004 Nissan Quest, and for my friends that were concerned that I was not going to get a van with an automatic opening door, this has one! It is awesome!!! LOVE IT!
Family Wedding: on Doug’s side
As you can see… Jack was really interested in family affairs
Gracie and her daddy
Doug’s cousin Liza and her dad(Doug’s dad’s brother)
Me and my girl
This was our first family photo since Jack was born
This is Doug’s dad, his sister Cynthia and brother Robert
Doug’s nieces, nephews and Jack and Grace. Here is what is kind of funny… Doug’s Brother has 2 boys, his sister has 2 girls and we have one of each. I find that interesting. And… my brother has one of each… completely even on both sides.
Dancing with her daddy
Aleathia’s Bridal Shower at my church:
This is a few of the pictures from my friend’s wedding shower that Terah and gave. It was a great day, and as usual, we had way too much food! It was great seeing old friends though.
If you look close on the gift table, you can see our very cute table center pieces… they were IBC Cream Soda bottles, with ribbon and flowers. Cute, huh?

My 2 best friends: Terah on the left and the bride on the right.

The 3 amigas!
Aleathia and my mommy!
And, the very next day:
TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!!!
OK, if you know me, you know I have been to a lot of concerts! Seriously, I have been to so many concerts that I have lot count. I love going to concerts! It is one of my favorite things ever! I actually have a not-so-secret dream of being a Concert photographer! But, this was one of my favorites.
This past summer I took my little cousin here to her very first concert… it was a New Kids concert, and her favorite part was Jesse McCartney, but still… it was her first one. Of course, this concert was a million times better(to her anyway). But, something happened in the middle of the concert, that we NEVER in a MILLION years would have guessed, and… would never have been able to get this lucky if I tried to get seats where we did(which, by the way, I am obsessed with getting good seats, so up until the moment this really cool thing happened, I actually felt kind of bad that I didn’t get better seats for us). Anyway… here is what happened…
This is us at my mom’s house before we left for the show. I had to pick up her camera.
My new van! :)
The trucks… Abby was freaking out!
Us in front of the arena
Before Kellie Pickler took the stage
Taylor Swifts favorite number
The moment my ears started ringing from Abby’s screaming! LOL!
Ok, so this is the really cool part…
During the show, Taylor went backstage to have a wardrobe change and they started playing this really cute little video that they created for this part of the show. Well, earlier we had noticed that they had a little circle stage in the middle of the arena close to our end. Of course, we were in the nosebleed sections, but we were still excited knowing that we would have a better view of her. So, as the video came on, I whispered to Abby that when the lights come on, she would probably be at that stage.
No…. I was close, but never did I imagine that she would be:
RIGHT. IN. FRONT. OF. US!!!!!!
Yes… I even have video… I might try to post that later.
She is amazing to her fans!!!
This show was just AMAZING! I am so happy that my 14 year old cousin has such a positive role model to look up to! Thankful that there is a stand out for her. It was GREAT!!
Thank you Taylor for giving my cousin Abby the thrill of a lifetime!!!
So, can you tell now why I haven’t been blogging too much… this was just MARCH! I will write another post about April!

Wow..you have been busy! Glad to see some new blog posts.
My daughter went to see Taylor Swift 2 or 3 years ago at a really small concert and was able to meet her and get a picture with her. She said that Taylor was super sweet. What a great 'aunt' you are to do that for your little cousin...it looks like you both had a blast!
Love all the new pictures!
I'm sooooo glad you got one with automatic doors! Don't you just LOVE it??? Could you even imagine life without now? :)
