Saturday...

Well... the day didn't start off to good, but it ended ok.

The day started with one of those phone calls that you hate to get. It was my dad calling to let me know that my Great Uncle Clay passed away last night. This was my mammaw's brother, who was 91 years old! He was a cute old guy. He didn't look his age at all! One of my memories of my uncle Clay was every year, we would go down to Kentucky for the family reunions. My entire family would come down and meet on his farm. We would picnic all day long, and then at night, everyone from Ohio would set up camp, get a fire going, and stay up really late, talking and having fun. Well, at one point, I ended up out at the camp fire with several family members and uncle Clay. He said... "you know, the smoke follows me." I wasn't sure what he meant, but it seemed that at that point, the wind was blowing the smoke in his direction. After a few minutes, he would get up... and sure enough... the smoke started in his direction. It was so strange... but it was true. The smoke followed him! Clay was a good man... and he will be missed. I am sure that he was greeted by many family members... mammaw, pappaw, several aunts and uncles, and of course, his wife Dorothy. Love you uncle Clay!

As for the rest of the day... typical Saturday... Went to Doug's church, Red Robin's afterwards... then home. We went to the park, but only stayed for about a half hour. It was cold!!!

Here are some new pics of Gracie...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I will out of town till Monday night, so will talk to you all then!
Love, C
