So, today was the first full day that we had Charlie and Bosley and honestly, it went fairly well! We decided that it would be best if we took the dogs to a neutral place so that Honey could not go all teritorial on the new dogs. However... before we made that decision, Doug actually let Honey see that the "New Kids" were in the garage. You would have thought that there was a masked intruder in our home the way that she was FREAKING out!!! Thankfully... Honey did not get out into the garage, but then and there, we knew that we needed to do something other than introduce them on her home turf. So... we headed off to church and then when we got home, we set off on our adventure. Grace was asleep, so Doug decided that he would drive the Bosley and Charlie to the dog park at Miami Meadows ahead of me and Honey. That way, they would get used to being at the dog park, then I could bring Honey a little while later and they could be introduced properly. About a half hour after Doug left, I packed up Grace and Honey and we were off. Can you believe... I forgot my camera! I was kicking myself. I wanted to take pics, but of course I forgot it. Oh well... anyway, once I got there, the dogs all got acquainted and it went rather well. I decided to call my aunt Cathy, who has 4 dog's of her own, and asked her and my cousin and niece Carly, who she traded my brother for her 3 boys for the night, to join us. Cathy and the girls showed up about 10 minutes later with their 2 mini schnauzer's. They are adorable. I was really disappointed at this point, because the little dogs were very funny with our group. Cathy said that Doug looked like the Pied Piper with 4 black dogs and Honey following him around the park. It was pretty funny!
After the dog park we headed off to Cracker Barrel where we had a wonderful dinner, and then headed off to the river to enjoy the rest of the evening. After we go home we decided to go and visit our sweet neighbors, Bob and Mildred(don't they just sound adorable!), and checked out their garden. It is awesome, btw, already looks close to bringing in some great produce! Can't wait... Bob keeps me stocked up in cucumbers and zuccini! I love it!
Here are a few of my favorite pics from the evening at Cracker Barrel and the river. I love the ones with Gracie and her daddy! Awww...
Have a great evening!
